Sri Vijaya Puram, October 5: Ward No. 15 Councillor Shri Padmanabhan, along with social activist Shri Sandeep Singh, met Director of Health Services Dr. H. M. Siddaraju and submitted a representation seeking the strengthening of the Urban Health Centre (UHC), Dairy Farm, and improvement of essential healthcare facilities and equipment.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the healthcare difficulties being faced by residents of the Dairy Farm area, particularly due to inadequate facilities and equipment at the existing health centre. They also pointed out the challenges faced by residents in travelling to other healthcare facilities, especially during adverse weather and climatic conditions.
The delegation urged the Health Department to strengthen UHC Dairy Farm by providing the necessary medical equipment and improving essential healthcare infrastructure so that residents can access basic medical services closer to their homes.
Responding to the representation, Director of Health Services Dr. H. M. Siddaraju gave a positive response and assured the delegation that the matter would be considered on priority.
He further assured that necessary measures for the improvement and strengthening of facilities at UHC Dairy Farm would be taken up in the coming period.
The proposed strengthening of the health centre is expected to benefit residents of Dairy Farm by improving access to essential healthcare services and reducing the need to travel to distant healthcare facilities, particularly during challenging weather conditions.
