Sri Vijaya Puram, September 21: A house fire at Bunidiyabad was brought under control by the Fire and Emergency Services after two firefighting vehicles were promptly deployed from Fire Station Aberdeen on receiving an emergency call on Monday.

The fire call was received by the Fire Control Room (FCR) at around 11:30 a.m., following which the Fire Station Aberdeen immediately mobilised firefighting personnel and equipment to the incident site.

Considering the congested nature of the locality, narrow approach roads and the presence of overhead electrical lines, the Fire Station deployed two firefighting vehicles- a small Water Mist vehicle and a conventional Fire Tender.

The deployment of the smaller Water Mist vehicle enabled firefighters to approach the incident through the narrow road, while the conventional Fire Tender provided additional firefighting support at the site.

On reaching the location, Fire and Emergency Services personnel found that the fire had originated inside the bathroom of the house and was rapidly spreading towards the bedroom.

The firefighting team immediately initiated operations and successfully contained the fire, preventing it from spreading further to other portions of the house and limiting potential damage.

The entire firefighting operation was carried out under the supervision of Station Officer, Fire Station Aberdeen, Shri Shaibal Sinha.

The prompt mobilisation and coordinated deployment of suitable firefighting vehicles enabled the team to reach the congested location quickly and bring the fire under control.

The incident once again highlighted the importance of maintaining suitable emergency access in densely populated areas, particularly where narrow roads and overhead electrical infrastructure can pose additional challenges during firefighting operations.
